A: Typically we can have an estimate ready for you within a 2-5 day time period
Q: If I contract with you to do my basement when can you get started?
A. Depending on the weather conditions, we can usually schedule the start of your basement within a 2-4 week time frame.
Q. From start to finish how long does it take to have my basement completed?
A. Because we are able to provide the excavation, foundation, & waterproofing coordinating each step, our start to finish average time period is less than a week, usually 4-5 days.
Q. Will my concrete crack?
A. Great question! Due to the nature of concrete, cracking is a probable. We can experience over a hundred freeze/thaw cycles in a year. Some of the harshest conditions for concrete are experienced in the Midwest.
Q. What can you do about the probability of my concrete cracking?
A. There are many measures we take at Lerry-Mead Concrete to minimize the possibility of cracks, the possibility of settling and separating of concrete, due to cracks. Always check the specifications of the concrete estimate to compare things like; sub-grade preparation, steel placement, type of bag mix, control joint placement, curing compounds, protection from freezing if necessary, sealers ,etc.
Q. Will salt or de-icers harm my concrete?
A. Most likely they will cause damage to the surface. The only completely safe thing you can use is sand. If you HAVE to use those products for safety reasons there are some preventive measures that you can take before winter to protect the surface of your concrete.
